Knoxville’s Tennessee Theatre hosts some wonderful entertainment. Currently it is hosting two full weeks of sold out shows for the Broadway production of Wicked. We have had several visitors in our gallery/studio going to the show, many here from out of town just for this event.

I have photographed this iconic sign on several occasions including this popular image previously posted to KnoxTNToday here. Capturing this sign at night is difficult because of the very bright flashing bulbs contrasted with the dark shadows.

To draw attention to the subject of the featured show title, I removed all the color except for the marquee. Sometimes experimenting in post-processing is nearly as fun as the photographing itself.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright protected.
