The Ultimate Frisbee Camp returns Tuesday through Thursday, June 11-13, at Cornerstone Church of Knoxville, 1250 Heritage Lake Blvd., Knoxville.

Knox and Freeman Plewniak who play competitive ultimate frisbee will lead the camp. Knox is a junior at Farragut High School and Freeman is in the 8th grade at Rivers Edge Christian Academy.

This camp aims to teach boys second grade and up the basics of ultimate frisbee and to advance their skills. Cost is $70 per participant or $50 if more than one sibling participates in the camp. Camp will be limited to 40 attendees: register here.

Both Knox and Freeman play club frisbee for Rivers Edge team as well as playing on a summer league Tennessee state team based in Nashville called (Nash)Villians. They will compete at nationals in Colorado this summer representing Tennessee with the Villians.

All proceeds from the camp will go to support Knox and Freeman on their mission trip to Mexico. This special trip allows them to spend time playing games with and serving the children who live at Rancho 3M Orphanage in Guadalupe, Mexico.

The young people going along on this trip with Knox and Freeman are able to share God’s love with the children in the orphanage who aren’t living with their biological parents for various reasons. The students also serve by building things like carports for the staff vehicles, maintenance to the children’s play set, and basic maintenance jobs around the orphanage.

Camp participants should bring water, a snack, sunscreen and solid tennis shoes or cleats.
