When traveling, a camera adds another dimension to my experiences. Photography slows me to look at each subject from a creative perspective, a challenge to create an artistic image, not just a snapshot. This is simply a personal quest, an objective to capture subjects differently.
A friend planning a trip to Turkey recently asked for suggestions on things to see and do in this most intriguing country. Perusing images from that trip with him brought back some wonderful memories. As the only city lying on two continents, Istanbul is an amazing crossroads of history, religion and culture.
Few of my thousands of images are ever shared. Here are a few now:
- Sunrise from a hot air balloon over Cappadocia
- Blue Mosque abstract of the main hall ceiling.
- Whirling Dervish spins himself into a meditative state.
