The men wore uniforms designed like those of Central’s state championship season; all with Helton on the back. When their flight was delayed, the men grabbed three cars and drove for 12 hours. Rob Huffaker shared this WBIR-TV post on YouTube.

Emma Harby wrote this story about a casual roundtable discussion the four inductees had with fans. 2024 inductees are Adrian Beltré, Todd Helton, Jim Leyland and Joe Mauer. Harby is the 2024 public relations intern in the Frank and Peggy Steele Internship Program for Leadership Development.

Helton pitched and played first base for the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team. Marvin West’s earlier story is here.
