Bernice Everett Brackett, 98, of Maryville, died Feb. 23. She retired from ALCOA after 36 years of service; she was one of the first female overhead crane operators at the company.
After retiring, she volunteered as a “pink lady” at Blount Memorial Hospital until she was 90 years old. She traveled extensively with her friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Smith Trinity Chapel. The funeral will start at 2 p.m. with burial at Grandview Cemetery at 3 p.m. Details here.
