Whispers of changing seasons are coming in with First Friday on September 2. Come celebrate local artists and enjoy new exhibitions, artist demos and live music at the Emporium Center downtown at 100 S. Gay Street from 5-9 p.m.
This Friday’s event features the music of William Wright with Bob Deck and Preston Davis from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wright is a composer of contemporary concert music and film scores with an advanced credential in orchestration for film and television from Berklee College of Music. Also, a multi-instrumentalist and Gezellig Records recording artist, Wright’s work has been sold, streamed, screened and performed around the world. As of summer 2022, Wright is working on multiple feature film projects and new contemporary classical works.
Other First Friday happenings are detailed here, including exhibitions, music, performances, culinary arts, public art and more. Be on the lookout for the ArtWalk flags outside of participating downtown First Friday venues.
