David Robins, DO, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical team at Smoky Mountain Orthopedics. Dr. Robins attended medical school, interned and did his residency in Pennsylvania. He has lived in Tennessee for the past 10 years. Hobbies include motorcycles and playing drums in a local rock band. He is an avid hunter and also an accomplished multi-engine IFR pilot. UScellular visited the Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley to announce the winners of the sixth annual Black History Month Art Contest and present the prizes. Much of the contest including judging was virtual this year. Winners were: Kaden Robinson, first place, $250; Laklynn Rudder, second place, $150; and Anya Brawner, third place, $100.
Knox County Senior Centers will re-open at their regularly scheduled hours today (4/5), though programming will be limited by Covid-19 restrictions. Activities will include classes, arts and crafts groups, trivia and book clubs. Computer labs and equipment in fitness rooms will be available.
