Devin Driscoll, David Fielder, Jessica Mishu, Kristin Otto and Ron Williams.
As the Rotary Club of Farragut continues to emerge from Covid, from a year of having four members pass away, others leaving due to relocations, retirements and pandemic-related job losses, the growth train is picking up steam.
The five people above have been inducted as our newest members. Just weeks ago this momentum began when we inducted Kim Frazier, Julie Greene and Constantine Pappas.
Here are some snapshots about these new Rotarians:
Devin Driscoll is owner and general manager of D1 Sports Training. He was a professional wrestler for two years in the WWE. He earned a bachelor’s degree focused in communication, journalism and related programs from Fordham University. He is a Catholic High graduate, class of 2000.
David Fielder is general counsel for Blue Ridge Realty, Blue Ridge Development and the various Blue Ridge-related entities. For 38 years he was a shareholder in the Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz law firm. He graduated from East Tennessee State and served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1977 as a field artillery with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Jessica Mishu has lived on six continents in order to experience and explore life from every angle. Jessica has practiced and studied yoga throughout India, England, Spain, Singapore, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. She hopes to bring everything she has learned from around the world to her yoga studio in Farragut — Blue Ridge Yoga.
Kristen Otto is vice president for professional services at the Emory Valley Center in Oak Ridge. The center serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is in the Leadership Anderson County class of 2022, chair of the TNCO Regulatory Committee, and is in the class of 2022 Consortium for Social Enterprise Effectiveness program at the UT Haslam College of Business.
Ron Williams is the mayor of the town of Farragut. He is a Knoxville native who grew up in Powell and Fountain City, received his education at the Knoxville State Area VoTec, SME and the University of Tennessee. He spent a number of years in Southern California managing a large manufacturing plant that produced aircraft and race engine parts. Ron and his wife, TC, have been married for over 30 years.
The club now has 91 active members and four honorary members.
