What better way to entertain the kids this summer that to let someone else plan the activities and the city of Knoxville Parks & Recreation Department, Ijams Nature Center and Junior Tennis Camps have the answer for all ages of youngsters.

The Knoxville Parks & Recreation Department is offering summer camp for children ages 6-12 years old at nine community centers located across the city and one site with a teen camp for kids age 12-16 years old.

The Knoxville Outdoor Recreation Experience (KORE) program spans over 7 weeks in June and July (excluding June 19 and the week of July 3-7) and provides a wide variety of recreational activities to include field trips to outdoor pools and local attractions, such as Main Event, NASCAR Speedpark, Kentucky Splash Waterpark and others.  Other camps are offered by The Knoxville Arts Center, Ijams Nature Center or Junior Tennis for those who want different type of activities.

The Knoxville Arts Center offers half-day art camps during the summer with morning and afternoon sessions, each having a different theme. Camps include all materials for clay, drawing, painting, printmaking and so much more! KAC Webpage.
