Knox area state legislators will meet the public Saturday, Jan. 28, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St. downtown. The meeting is co-sponsored by the East Tennessee chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the League of Women Voters Knoxville/Knox County.

Coffee and breakfast bagels and pastries will be available at 8:30 a.m. and are free while they last. The event is open to the public, and the wearing of masks is optional.

Grupo Candela will perform Latin Jazz at the Laurel Theater on Friday, January 20, at 8 p.m. There will be room to dance!

Jaimie Cameron & Henry Perry will perform at Laurel Theater on Saturday, January 21, at 8 p.m.

Jubilee Community Arts owns and operates the Laurel Theater, a 19th century converted church located in the Fort Sanders community of Knoxville. The building was extensively renovated in the 1980s and houses an acoustically and visually excellent concert hall, a secondary display and performance space, archives of sound recordings, audio production facilities and the organization’s offices.
