Dr. Shana Sparks has sold Knoxville Chiropractic Solutions in Powell to Dr. Clint Whittler, effective Aug. 15, 2022. Both are doctors of chiropractic.

In a letter to patients and the community, Sparks said she wants to spend time with her 2-year-old son “during the developmental stages of his life.”

Sparks said the transition to Whittler is a way to ensure her patients get the best possible care in the future. “Dr. Whittler is not only a great adjustor whose style is very similar to mine, but someone who will treat you as a friend and not just a patient.”

Dr. Clint Whittler

Whittler received his doctorate from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, with a focus on correction, rehabilitation and maintenance of the spine.

As a former rugby player nationally and internationally he has always looked for a way to gain an edge on his competition. He has the unique perspective of a high-level athlete and clinician, according to his biography. He understands how important preventive care is not only for athletes but any human with a spine.

Outside of the clinic, Whittler enjoys anything active. You can find him on a hike, working out or swimming with his daughters, Nessa and Ruby.

Dr. Sparks said the phone numbers and staff will remain the same. “You will not have to do anything to transfer your records. If you are already a patient, just set and show up for your appointments as you have always done.”

Dr. Sparks has made valuable contributions to the Powell community, especially through her work with the PBPA. Initially, she headed membership, growing participation to a record high. Next, she tackled communications. Again, a record number of newsletters and emails.

PBPA president Jeff Bagwell said, “Shana has been an integral part of the PBPA, managing the communications committee and ensuring that we all get the reminders of upcoming events and meetings.  She will be very hard to replace.”

Thanks for your service, Dr. Sparks. Have fun with that cute little boy.
