I have a very special friend in Emily Lenn who shared her three-week trip to Greece, Croatia, and Messina, Italy. This week, we are sharing some of the adventures from Greece. Pictures in the gallery are numbered.

Header picture: The Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, which was constructed during the 4th century BC, has incredible acoustics, and is still in use today.

1. This is at the archaeological site at Delphi, Greece, which was the religious center of Greece in the 6th century BC. An ancient oracle here once influenced the fate of emperors and empires.

Watch this very short video of the changing of the guards at Parliament in Athens, Greece. Emily says, “It was fascinating! Changing of the Guard

2. This archway is the entrance to the field of the original Olympics, at the archaeological site of Olympia, Greece. Still today, the Olympic flame is lit here and starts its journey to the city where the games will be held.

3. We are on a boat ride in the harbor at Corfu, Greece. We saw grottoes, the hotel where the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only was filmed, and beautiful rock outcroppings in the water.

4. Ruins at the Acropolis, with Athens in the background

5. Work continues to restore the Parthenon at the Acropolis. I think I could be friends with the black cat, maybe.

6.  Jerry is on the starting line at the Stadium of Olympia. I could race Jerry if he would agree to it!

Turn your sound on for this video of the boat ride taken at Corfu, Greece: Boat ride.

In the next issues of our travels, we will share Croatia and Italy!
