Knox the Fox joins Mansell & Murphy in the Keys

Susan EspirituOur Town Adventure Seekers

Knox the Fox trailed my friend Courtney Mansell to the Florida Keys and the Everglades, during her Fall Break trip with Jason Murphy. They spent a week as she said, “going up and down the Keys.”

The Florida Keys consist of about 1,700 islands, with the main ones being Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key and Key West, connected by the Overseas Highway, a scenic road that stretches for about 113 miles from Key Largo to Key West.

Key West is the southernmost city in the continental United States and is known for its laid-back atmosphere, lively arts and music scene. Key West is also famous for its sunsets, celebrated at Mallory Square every evening.

Courtney and Jason saw roosters walking the streets, tarpon, lots of tarpon, sunsets galore, and of course Marilyn Monroe (Knox was bit embarrassed hiding under the skirt).

In addition to the adventures walking the streets in Key West, Courtney and Jason boated through the Marvin D Waterway, a canal that was cut straight through the coral in order to allow boaters a quicker travel route from the Atlantic Ocean to the Florida Bay which is between the southern tip of Florida and the Florida Keys.

They took an Everglades tour and got to see a wild manatee swim up to their boat.

Jason Murphy and Courtney Mansell were engaged during recent trip to Florida Keys

This is the second year the couple have made this trip, but it may be the last time they make it as Murphy and Mansell, unless they choose it as a wedding destination. Knox the Fox is pleased to announce the engagement of Courtney Mansell to Jason Murphy!

Maybe Knox will sneak on to that trip as well!
