The second annual Hallo-week at Ijams will run Tuesday through Sunday, October 24-29, at varying times and locations, details here: Ijams Hallo-week.
There is something for all ages during the five-day event, and everyone will be entertained whether you make your own monster, enjoy a night of haunted tales, go on an owl prowl, or visit an enchanted forest filled with tricks and lots of treats.
Ijams Development Director Cindy Hassil said. “This year’s Hallo-week at Ijams brings back the popular Ijams Enchanted Forest, family pumpkin carving, night hikes, and features new offerings, such as craft workshops and a Scare Fair market place.”
Enjoy an evening of scary, silly and haunted tales told by members of the Smoky Mountain Storytellers Association as part of the Ijams Sunset Social series on Tuesday, October 24, 7-8:30 p.m. at Ijams. Ages 5-12: $5 Ages 13+: $10
You will meet nocturnal animal ambassadors, learn about the not-so-creepy critters that inhabit the night, and take a fun-filled, guided night hike on Wednesday, October 25, 7-8:30 p.m. at Ijams. All ages 6+: $15
Bring friends and family to meet one of Ijams’ resident animal ambassadors (hint: an owl) before exploring the trails in search of screech, barred and great horned owls on Thursday, October 26, 7-8:30 p.m. Ages 6+: $15
Learn the basics of sewing in a fun, easy and loving way as you create a Monster Made with Love in this beginner-friendly workshop on Saturday, October 28, 2-4 p.m. All Ages: $26. All supplies included.
Get ready for a night of frightful fun at the Ijams Scare Fair on Saturday, October 28, 4-8 p.m. at Mead’s Quarry, which features spooky-themed vendors, food trucks, concessions, music, and more. All ages; free admission.
Don a costume; enjoy seasonal crafts, games and activities; meet some animal ambassadors; and nab some tasty treats on Saturday, October 28, 6-9 p.m. in the family-friendly Ijams Enchanted Forest. All Ages; $7, Discounted Group Packages Available
Experience an afternoon of pumpkin carving and Halloween-inspired party games with family and friends on Sunday, October 29, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mead’s Quarry. Pumpkins provided. All Ages; $12
Learn how to make a door broom just in time for Halloween with Aviary Broom Co. on Sunday, October 29, 3- 5 p.m. at Ijams. Ages 15+; $55 All supplies included.
