Halls Women’s League awards art students

The Halls Crossroads Women’s League presented their annual art awards on Tuesday, April 23, to Halls High School and Halls Middle School students during a ceremony at Beaver Brook Country Club.

The art work was rewarded with monetary gifts as well:

  • 1st Place – $100
  • 2nd Place – $75
  • 3rd Place – $50
  • Honorable mentions – $25

Halls High School students presented awards:

  • 1st place: Thomas Francisco
  • 2nd place: Lily Foust
  • 3rd place: Rubi Justiniao-Vega
  • Honorable mentions: Jennifer Andrews and McKenna Reed

Halls Middle School students presented awards:

  • 1st place: Charlotte Collins
  • 2nd place: Jaelyn Jennings
  • 3rd place: Jackson Carter
  • Honorable mentions: Ella Drinnen, Ariella Ellis, Coraline Smith

A new category for this year, the People’s Choice Award, is voted on by the membership of the league with the winner receiving an additional $50 gift and certificate. The “People’s Choice” was Halls High School student Georgia McMahan, pictured above.

The Halls High School teachers Elizabeth Lynch and Jerry Lewis, along with Halls Middle School teachers Ashley Smith and Dwight Brown, were recognized for their excellence in teaching their content.
