Halls High School football fans rallied behind the team on Friday, hoping to build on the last two years of post-season play. Alas, the visiting Powell Panthers grabbed a 26-15 win to spoil the Red Devils’ season opener.
It was standing room only for the first game on Halls’ new turf field, a gift from the Haslam Foundation and Pilot Flying J. Community members pitched in to completely restore the press box.
