This summer, Girl Scouts Council of the Southern Appalachians partnered with Faith-N-Friends, a non-profit horse rescue and sanctuary based in Corryton, Tennessee, that helps horses find their forever homes. The organization helps horses get happy and healthy until they are adopted into a new, safe home, providing treatments, training and guidance.

This partnership provided a Horse Week summer camp program excursion for the Girl Scout campers and the girls learned about the quality of life that a horse needs to be safe and secure.

A Girl Scouts spokesperson thanked the partner, “Faith N Friends has been such a wonderful partner organization, and we thank them for inspiring our Girl Scouts.”
