“Awesome place, awesome staff and the owners are awesome people.” That is the leading Google review for Fountain City Social, and validates this local, favorite hangout receiving 10 Community Choice awards at the recent ceremony.

The ’80s themed cocktail bar, located in the heart of Fountain City, opened in 2021, and is a certified “Safe Bar” by the Knox County Health Department. Owners Dereck and Lindsey Chapman attribute the certification to staff training. “Our staff is trained by Knox County to keep our customers safe.”

Fountain City Social was voted Best Bar for the second year in a row as they host events most nights from Board Game night on Mondays to Chili Day on Sundays. Events are listed on the website: Fountain City Social.

Also for the second year, FCS won for Best Cocktail Bar, Best Happy Hour and Best Karaoke, which happens every Friday night mixed with a dance party.

Probably due to their bartending staff, FCS won three awards for best drinks: Best Martini, Best Margarita, Best Bloody Mary.  The most popular drink at FCS is the Old Fashioned, but there wasn’t an award for it.

Lastly, three other awards resulted from the Chapmans’ vision of hosting themed events, parties, classes and offering what people request: Best Event Venue, Best Birthday Venue and Best Beer Selection.

Congratulations to Fountain City Social on two years of success in the community!
