The Farragut Parks & Recreation Department is adding new programs to a growing catalog of activities geared toward adults: Book Club, Walking Club and pickup sports.
The new Book Club will begin meeting on Wednesdays in July, and while registration for this group is closed, look for the next opportunity to join a new group when it opens again. Book Club
The Walking Club is free and will run from July 17- September 4, 7-8 p.m. for ages 16 and up with no registration required.
The full schedule of walking locations and meeting places (all days are Wednesdays):
- 7/17: Parkside Greenway (Connor’s parking lot)
- 7/24: McFee Greenway (Great Lawn Pavilion)
- 7/31: Mayor Bob Leonard Park (Upper restrooms)
- 8/7: Anchor Park (Baseball diamond)
- 8/14: McFee Park (Great Lawn Pavilion)
- 8/21: Founders Park (Library)
- 8/28: Turkey Creek Greenway (Connor’s parking lot)
- 9/4: Grigsby Chapel Greenway (Westside Unitarian Universalist Church)
Pickup Sports will run on Mondays, July 15, – August 19, 7-9 p.m. for ages 18 and up. Each sport is a free opportunity to meet new people or learn a new sport with no registration required.
