Last week, I wrote about our state of literacy in Tennessee: here. No one is more concerned about a child’s level of literacy than the parents, so we want to create a section here that will help families with their youngest on learning to read.
KnoxTNToday welcomes Erin Pate to offer support to families in this area of literacy and reading.
Erin Pate is a former elementary school teacher and mom to two littles who has a passion for sharing the love of reading.
Beginning next week, she will offer a monthly column with suggestions to families and you can follow her on Instagram @booksandsmiles for book recommendations and reading tips for the littles in your life.
