If there was a career possibility it showed up at West Hills Elementary last week and the students were dressed to greet their future career choice.
Multiple guest speakers covered a variety of career choices and then the mobile careers came rolling in to show not all work is in an office or building. Squad cars, police cycles, fire trucks, mobile broadcast vehicles, utility bucket trucks, ambulances, kennel trucks, and of course, food trucks rolled in to visit.
The students had a full day of truly imagining their own “adulthood” and I am sure the adults enjoyed revisiting their own “childhood.”
Knoxville Catholic is really rocking!
The Irish Wind Ensemble from Knoxville Catholic High School captured 4 Superior ratings at East Tennessee School Band & Orchestra Association Regional Festival at the Clayton Center for the Arts.
This is the 13th year in a row the musicians have brought home superior marks.
Then from another skillset, the Knoxville Catholic girls’ basketball team won its first ever state championship by defeating Ensworth 64-59. Sydney Mains was named MVP as she finished the game with 33 points and six rebounds.
Congratulations Hardin Valley Superlatives
