The Dining Duo scheduled themselves to try a new place but the restaurant website had incorrect open times so we headed to our fallback favorite, Aubrey’s. Always our top choice.
We have our favorites on the appetizer list with Spinach con Queso and Pizza Rockefeller. One can’t overlook their salads unless you are getting a specialty salad for an entrée like the Asian Chicken Salad which is our favorite: a frequent take-home entrée.
However, on this unplanned trip, we opted for two other favorites: Hawaiian Ribeye and Seafood Pasta. The steak is tender, juicy and the taste is unmatched anywhere. The pasta is chocked full of shrimp, pacific white fish, peas, bowtie pasta and white sauce. Delicious.
Desserts were take-home items as well: key lime pie and caramel cheesecake. Again, delicacies.
The Duo was happy to miss a new dining visit to enjoy our go-to favorite.
The Dining Duo is looking for the “hidden gem eateries “where the locals fill the breakfast and lunch hour; those local haunts tucked into the out of way or right on the way places missed in the hustle and bustle of the day. Email us your recommendations at email here.
