The Dining Duo feasted at Lulu’s Tea Room at 3703 W Beaver Creek Dr., Powell, Tennessee.
A unique atmosphere in a cozy homelike setting surrounded by walls of family photos engage the diner while nibbling on homemade chocolate muffin appetizers.
The menu is a standard daily list kept under the glass table top, offering a choice of one entrée with two sides for a standard price. Entrees include Lulu’s famous quiche and chicken salad which is what the Duo chose and we were not disappointed. The sides the Duo chose included stuffed pears, Jello salad, tomato soup and fresh fruit. All were incredibly tasty and fresh!
In September, owner Deana Hurd announced on social media Lulu’s would close to regular business in January and move to strictly catering their special fares. However, when asked today, she said a reconsideration of the decision is a possibility. The Dining Duo, along with today’s packed house and the full reservation list can only hope she does change her mind.
