Volunteers are helping with crisis cleanup for storm-related damage for residents who financially do not have the normal means to pay for help. The program seeks both those who need help and those who can help.

Crisis cleanup hopes to help with:

  • Fallen trees
  • Drywall, flooring & appliance removal
  • Tarping roofs
  • Mold mitigation

Farragut Mayor Ron Williams emailed notice of the program, which states, “All services are free, but service is not guaranteed due to the overwhelming need. The area hotline will remain up through Friday, Aug. 25.”

Volunteer workers must provide tools and necessary equipment to complete the projects.

And for cynics who worry about the younger generation, visit the website just to read the names and see the faces of those making this happen. We’re going to be OK. Info: www.crisiscleanup.org or 865-351-0552
