Wildflower Report – Jakes Creek Trail (beginning to end) – 19 June 2023
- Crimson Bee Balm – Some – Just starting to bloom.
- Daisy Fleabane – Some – Past peak (mostly about 2/10 of mile up trail).
- Galax – Few – Past peak (almost gone).
- Large Bluet – Many – Past peak bloom.
- Pale Jewelweed – (1) – Apparently just starting to bloom. Also called Yellow Touch-me-not.
- Partridgeberry – Few – Past peak bloom.
- Rosebay Rhododendron – Some – Various stages in the blooming process – mostly lower elevations.
- Water Hemlock – Few – Close to peak bloom.
- Wild Hydrangea – Many ++ – At various stages of the blooming process – many at peak bloom.
- Wood Nettle – Many – Past peak bloom.

Note: Because of rain did not take camera – using photos made in the past. Please note photo #3 – not identified. Feel sure that it is a member of the mint family – possibly a Whorled Horse Balm.
