Comedian Tim Young will headline at the Hip To Be Square Comedy Club at the Square Room on Friday, June 30, and Saturday, July 1, 2023, with two shows on both days at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

An animal lover, he will introduce best friend Asha, his Great Pyrenees dog, at the show. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Young-Williams Animal Center.

Young is a versatile stand-up comedian, author, and radio and TV personality. He was a finalist on NBC television’s Last Comic Standing show and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Tough Crowd and Shorties.

Opening for Young will be international comedian William Childress who is a regular at the Laughing Club and Star Bar clubs in Atlanta. He started his career as one of the founding members of the first English language comedy club at Kung Fu Comedy in Shanghai, China.

Also joining Young will be Knoxville native Kevin Shockley, a comedian, storyteller, chef, and lover of cats. He has been entertaining audiences in the Southeast since 2016.

Tickets are $35 at the door on the day of the show or $30 when bought online in advance.
