Food City is excited to host a UT Pep Rally from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the Powell Food City, 7350 Clinton Hwy. U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will be there, along with members of the UT cheer squad and dance team, the UT mascot, inflatables and refreshments. WIVK Radio will broadcast live.

Register for UT-themed giveaways with a drawing every 30 minutes and a grand-prize drawing at 5:50 p.m.

Food Show is Sept. 27-28

The Food City Food Show will return to the Knoxville Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27-28, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“We have an outstanding line-up planned for this year’s event and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities,” said Steven C. Smith, Food City president and CEO.

The show will feature live cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs throughout the day, in addition to product sampling, tasty recipes and exclusive money-saving offers from over 150 food vendors. Advance tickets are on sale now at Knoxville area Food City locations for only $8. Tickets will also be available at the event for $10. Children 6 and under are admitted free of charge.
