A memory captured in paint.
Imagine a crisp October morning in the mountains with friends. Escaping the stress of daily life and enjoying an idyllic day doing what calls the soul, we shouldered the tools to carry it out. One pack held a guitar, another a banjo. Some had cameras and several wielded paint and brushes.
Running water called us home, flat rocks smoothed the worries, a foot bridge led to the mysteries of Bullhead Trail, GSMNP. Perfect old-time tunes accompanied our group, yet I cannot recall the names.
The pickers picked, the camera clicked and the painters brushed – all expressing their mood of the day and love of nature. Here’s my result, Bullhead Melody, a soundtrack of a perfect day.
Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours.
