The 71st Karns Community Fair is Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Karns High School, 2710 Byington Solway Road, 37931.

Tennessee’s longest running fair, presented by Smithbilt Homes, is free to attend with all children receiving three prize tickets. Food trucks, vendors and the children’s midway all charge fees.

Three tickets will go quickly, but an all-day midway game pass may be purchased for $15.

The Karns community has a rich agricultural history, and the fair has a competitive exhibit from the agriculture of the area: jams, pickles, vegetables. Sign up to compete in the Karns Fair agricultural competition here.

Likewise, the fair is great place to sell products and services. For a spot, apply here.

The Fairest of the Fair Pageant precedes the actual Karns Fair with the competition being held on Saturday, July 13, 5 p.m. at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church. The winner moves on to the Tennessee Valley Fair with the runner-up moving on to the Miss Tennessee Sweetheart. Ms. Karns moves on to Tennessee Senior. Sign up for Fairest of the Fair Pageant here.

There is limited parking at the high school so come early and carpool if possible.

Regardless, don’t miss this annual community event! Complete information on this and other events here.
