Christy Pierce teaches second grade at Gibbs. We taught together years ago when I taught at Gibbs. Never mind how long ago that has been.
Christy shared a comical start to her day last week when she found the apple from the picture above on her table
This is how the conversation went:
Christy: “Aw is that for me?
Student: “Yes, I know you taught in the olden days and kids brought apples to their teachers then so I brought you one.”
Christy: “Olden days?”
Student: “Yeah, a really, really, really, long time ago.”
Christy: “Thank you for thinking of me.”
She does say she is teaching children of the students she had in kindergarten years ago.
