Tennessee Valley Mustang Club’s annual car show at Ray Varner Ford on Sept. 25 was fun. It always is. This year’s event was the organization’s 32nd annual show, although not all at Ray Varner’s. He’s not that old.
The cutest exhibitor was little Cali Hurst, eating a snack in the trunk of a 1953 Chevy sedan. Her parents were nearby. Mom Candy Hurst said she and her husband restored the vehicle over 17 months, working only on weekends at their home in Claxton. They bought the car for $400 and recently drove it to Nashville.
The awards presenter was William Robinson, vice president of the Tennessee Valley Mustang Club.
Chris Irwin of Andersonville brought his 1935 Ford. It has a rumble seat and five windows.
A bright red Mustang GT sported a high-performance Coyote engine and a “Naughty Girl” decal.
