Dulcie Lynne Peccolo of Lenoir City passed away on September 7, 2021. Her family said, “Dulcie was a lifelong educator who devoted her life’s work to advocating for the students she served.”
As director of student services at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Peccolo was one of the good guys – always looking for ways to support students toward a degree. She was inducted into the Educators Hall of Honor in 2018. At the time, her colleagues said, “she was actively involved in the guidance and advising of students graduating from our college. She is known for her kindness and compassion for the students and is loved by many.”
Her family requests memorials be directed to the Dulcie Peccolo Scholarship Fund at Pellissippi State Foundation, P.O. Box 22990, Knoxville TN 37933, where she served on the board. The family plans a Celebration of Life at a later date. Additional obituary information is here.
