Larsen Jay, candidate for Knox County Commission at-large, will host a thank-you barbecue for some 200 emergency workers at the main firehall, 600 Summit Hill Dr., from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, July 29. This marks the 10th anniversary of Jay’s accident that led him to found Random Acts of Flowers.
Back to School Bash, sponsored by Mayor Tim Burchett, will be 3-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Hwy. The free event is an opportunity for students to get free school supplies, health screenings and more.
Central High School Triennial Golden Grad Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Rothchild Event Center, 8807 Kingston Pike. Check in at 4 p.m. with dinner at 6.
