Amadeus Concert Ensemble is presenting a CHANUKAH MUSIC FEST concert on Sunday, December 8, 2024, 4 p.m. at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center, 6800 Deane Hill Drive, Knoxville.

The free community-wide concert is under the direction of Maestro Brian Salesky with music devoted to The Festival of Lights (Chanukah), in a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Knoxville Jewish Community Family of Funds.

A quartet of vocal soloists will be led by Puerto Rican soprano Abigail Santos Villalobos who has been heard in leading operatic roles with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, San Diego Opera, Arizona Opera and Fort Worth Opera.

She will be joined by alto Diana Salesky, tenor John Overholt, baritone Joel Brown and the Stanford Eisenberg Knoxville Jewish Day School Choir.

Participants also include Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon and Keith Barber, president of the East Tennessee Foundation.

Maestro Salesky remarked: “This is a rare opportunity to hear such a comprehensive array of joyous, inspiring music about the Chanukah holiday performed by operatic soloists. We are thrilled and grateful to be able to offer this unique experience to the East Tennessee community.
