The Dining Duo plus one slid into the Farmacy at 5018 Kingston Pike, Knoxville.
The interior of the restaurant is designed with colorful art and French bistro style chairs. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The menu is well designed and the food is more gourmet than drop-in-diner but you can get chicken tenders and fries.
First item ordered: three tacos on grilled corn tortillas. We chose the chicken. It comes with arugula, delicious buttermilk dressing and a local white cheddar. Others may add jalapeno but we left those off.
We also had the maple-pecan salmon and a Good Ole Boy described as a French dip with southern soul.
We shared all three dishes and found them all delicious but the Good Ole Boy was the top pick of the day. We ended with bread pudding which may be the best dessert in Knoxville as one of us stated.
This dining out was a great experience and excellent food from first to last bite! You could just drive by as you speed down the pike, but don’t! Make this one of your stops!
Farmacy is closed Mondays. Open Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Sunday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Dining Duo is looking for the “hidden gem eateries “where the locals fill the breakfast and lunch hour; those local haunts tucked into the out of way or right on the way places missed in the hustle and bustle of the day. Email us your recommendations at email here
