Zack Buck, Michael Higdon and Briana Rosenbaum have been named associate deans at the University of Tennessee College of Law. The announcement came from Lonnie T. Brown Jr., dean and Elvin E. Overton Distinguished Professor of Law.
“I know that the law school could not be in better hands, and I look forward to working closely with Zack, Michael and Briana in the years ahead to maintain and improve upon our longstanding tradition of excellence,” Brown said.
Buck has been appointed the associate dean for faculty development, a role previously filled by Teri Baxter. He specializes in health law and has received numerous awards recognizing his research and teaching.
Higdon has been named the associate dean for academic affairs, after spending a year as interim associate dean. His awarding-winning research concentrates on family law, wills and trusts, and legal process.
Rosenbaum is the associate dean for diversity, inclusion and community engagement, succeeding Professor Michelle Kwon. She teaches civil procedure, evidence, class actions and complex litigation and jurisprudence.
Passing the bar exam
A bunch of folks passed the July 2024 state bar exam. Full list here. I spotted two familiar names: Louis Stephen Moran IV – son of Mimi and Lou Moran III, owner of Inter-Agency Insurance Co. Inc.; and Daniel Kuster Dunn, son of former state Rep. Bill and Stacy Dunn. Anyone else want a mention? Just email news@KnoxTNToday.com and we’ll get you listed.
