Quilters are creating memorable gifts for veterans. Quilts of Valor “are always beautiful and the veterans love getting them,” said Janice White of the Powell Senior Center.
The Powell center hosts a once-a-month breakfast for veterans, as do other centers across the county.
“It is the goal of the quilters and the local veterans associations that every veteran receive one. If they want one, they can register their name and phone number and get on the list,” said White.
