Betty Dick was a Farragut founder

Sandra ClarkFarragut, Obits

Few of us can lay claim to founding a town. With the death of Elizabeth W. “Betty” Dick on June 26, 2024, the Town of Farragut lost a founder.

And Mrs. Dick did not just found the town and leave it. She remained active until the end, serving on the town’s planning commission from 2012 to 2021 after having served as an initial alderman from 1981-87. Professionally, she served the Anderson and Loudon county health departments as nursing supervisor from 1999-2009.

Her family is included in the obituary here, and many will know her husband, Jeremy W. Dick, who survives her. Additional information is posted on the internet at Betty Dick Farragut TN.
