Commemorates 80th anniversary of D-Day

East Tennessee History Center invites all to commemoration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 8, and ending at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.

The three-day conference on WWII will include talks from local scholars as well as international speakers; Professor Richard Toye from University of Exeter; and the keynote speaker, Allen Packwood, director of the Churchill Archives of the University of Cambridge.

Ticket sales are available through July 4.

There are three price points for the conference with a $20 package including a seat for all sessions Monday through Wednesday.

A $40 package includes a lunch on Tuesday, July 9, with keynote speaker Allen Packwood.

A $100 package includes the lunch and an additional dinner on Tuesday, July 9, at the Baker School of Public Policy & Public Affairs.
