Knoxville Children’s Theatre to perform ‘Little Women’

Knoxville Children’s Theatre will perform Little Women May 3-19 with various show times from 1 to 7 p.m.

Little Women is one of the most widely read novels of all time and named one of the Top 100 Books for Children by the National Education Association. Author Louisa May Alcott’s’ classic story is about sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy who are responsible for taking care of everything at home while their father is off to war.

The cast is populated by some talented local young artists.

The March sisters are portrayed by veteran KCT performers: Grace Durham plays Jo, Katie Moon portrays Amy, and Beth is played by Ava Reagan. Maggie Clower plays the oldest March sister, Meg, while the sisters’ mother is played by Caroline Scoonover.

The girls’ friend Laurence is played by Auguste King and Aunt March will be portrayed by Emma Reagan. Also joining the cast are KCT veterans Izzy Badgley, Max Hill, Tiger Ladaa, Kyan McCoy and Tanner White.

The play is directed by KCT student intern, Maddy Grace Payne. The production team includes set designer Cooper Delamain with assistance from Kira Bellamy, Isabelle Bender, Evie Braude, Maggie McNally and Amelie Wrinkle.

Elliot Norton will design the lighting and Sam Owens will design and build the costumes with assistance from Eliana Fischmann, Tabi Maanum and Lyric Westerfield. The properties will be designed by Madisyn Beckman, Percy Cunningham, Corrine Farley and Evie Strangward. The play’s stage manager is Druig Allen.
