We write a lot at Knox TN Today about community, families and the importance of volunteering to serve others. Fountain City Elementary School held its carnival on April 19 with a host of community volunteers to serve, and it came together seamlessly to raise $7,000 for the school’s current and future needs.

These volunteers set up tables, put up signs, manned games, donated food, monitored inflatables, cleaned up and so much more to make the event run smoothly.

Fountain City Elementary School spring carnival got support from:

  • Central High School Cheerleaders
  • Central High School Honor Society
  • Fountain City Church
  • Fountain City Presbyterian Church
  • TVA Credit Union
  • Kids Place
  • Fountain City Elementary PTO
  • Fountain City Elementary families
  • Ritchie family
  • Pendley family
  • Townsend family
  • Krishnamoorthy family

Community partners who sponsored bounce houses offset the cost for the community to enjoy the fun:

  • Jennifer Morris
  • Ritchie Woodworking
  • Kim Day Training
  • Crossroads Motors
  • Vessul Creative
  • Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union
  • Knox Drives
  • Volunteer Contracting
