Knox the Fox joined his buddy, Smokey, and friends Denna and Don Grogan at the Citrus Bowl on January 1, 2024, to cheer his Vols to a 35-0 victory!

Denna and Don traveled to the game wearing their Vol gear from the time they left until their return, hearing chants of “Go Vols,” through every state and stop during the trip!

They found a favorite restaurant, The Waterfront, on beautiful Lake Jennie Jewel in the heart of Orlando, eating there twice! Denna reported, “Great food and even better atmosphere, wonderful time walking the neighborhoods of Orlando.”

The duo attended the festive Fan Fest event prior to the game as well as the official pregame tailgate party held at Tinker Field next to Camping World Stadium featuring interactive games, inflatables, face painters and more.

Denna said, “We saw many Vol fans that we knew and met new friends. We met Iowa fans too who were very nice, friendly and fun. The weather was a perfect sunny, 70 degrees.”

In addition to the shutout victory, fans were treated to the famous circle drill by the Pride of the Southland Band.

Iowa and Tennessee have played each other three other times but evidently the fans forgot about our favorite song since Denna said, “After the game, many Iowa fans asked if we always play Rocky Top that many times. They were all interested in that!”

Next week, Knox the Fox tells about his trip with Westin and Penny Babelay over the holidays!
