“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” may be a well-known English proverb, but just in case there is some merit to it, you can get plenty of apple choices at the 43rd annual Apple Festival at Washington Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 7405 Washington Pike.

It is a cash-only event so empty those piggy banks, because there will be apple butter, apple cider, fried apple pies, BBQ lunch (probably not apple), a country market, bake sale and so much more, including an apple pie contest, a silent auction and tamales (probably not apple either).

For entertainment, enjoy local music, a children’s area, antique trailers, axe throwing, and much more so don’t miss this annual area event!
