Bob’s Trails installs bridge at Angora Frog Farm

Carol EvansGet Out & Play

Bob’s Trails, Trees and Gardens, based in Powell, is installing a 20-foot-long bridge across a small stream in Angora Frog Farm off Beaver Creek Drive. This is the 12-acre site donated by Arvin and Sabra Brown that is being developed by Legacy Parks.

We are thrilled that Bob Richards could work with us on this project because of his vast experience and the quality of his work. Bob earned a degree in forestry from the University of Tennessee and joined the state of Tennessee. He retired after 31 years and started his own company.

While with the state, Bob built 100+ miles of hiking trails, 12 backcountry campsites, three major trailhead areas and was part of a team that acquired over 6,600 acres of land.

More recently, Bob’s Trails built an 8/10th-mile trail at Aspire Park in Clinton and handled a trail design/route marking project on a 100-acre property in Sevier County.

The stream in the frog farm feeds into Beaver Creek. It’s a kid-sized stream for a kid-sized park. We are installing a 20-foot-long by 5-foot-wide wood bridge with ramps made of 6-inch x 6-inch timbers and gravel built on both ends of the bridge. The actual span is 12 feet.

If you see Bob in the park, say thanks!
