Shoes can represent a kid’s identity, personal style, interests and even their social status. The type of shoes a kid wears can say a lot about who they are and how they want to be perceived by others, helping establish individual self-esteem.
For 21 years, the Knoxville Area Urban League has coordinated corporate sponsors to promote Shoes for School to alleviate that loss of self-esteem due to lack of shoes for some of our kids.
This year’s Shoes for School is on Saturday, August 5, from 9-12 at Caswell Park. Click Shoes for School to visit website to learn more about the event.
