Volunteers needed for Powell events

Powell is a happening place, with much of the info coming from Dr. Shana Sparks at Knoxville Chiropractic Solutions.

PBPA will meet at noon Tuesday, June 14, at Jubilee Banquet Facility. Mark Field of the Knoxville Chamber will speak and Knox County Clerk Sherry Witt is the business spotlight speaker. Cost is $14.

PBPA Members Only BBQ: Sunday, June 12, 3-7 p.m. at The Barn, 2722 W. Emory Road. Look for signs and balloons. There will be volleyball, swimming, fishing, corn hole, tennis and pickle ball! Bring the whole family.

4th of July Parade: sponsored by the Powell Lions Club, 11 a.m. Monday, July 4, parade forms at Powell Middle School and ends at Brickyard Road. Emory Road closes at 10:30 a.m. Info: Cory Payne at 423-693-4614

PBPA Picnic in the Park: Monday, July 4, Powell Station Park following the parade. (Booths must be set up by 9 a.m.). Hot dogs provided by Food City Powell; water sponsored by Hallsdale Powell Utility District; Rural Metro Fire is sponsoring a DJ with speaker/sound system and music. Booth sign-ups can be done with Laura Bailey at 865-599-1199. Sponsored by businesses, free to community.

Enhance Powell: 5 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Powell Station Park. Looking for volunteers. Call Michael L at 865-964-3402.
